Questions parents ask

What is Minnu Stories?

Minnu Stories is a set of YouTube channels with animated stories for children aged about 3 to 8: Panchatantra fables and folk tales from across India, retold in simple words.

When do new stories come out?

A new film every Saturday at 10:00 India time, and short clips on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.

Which languages are there?

English, Kannada and Hindi today. More Indian languages are on the way.

Is it safe for my child to watch?

Every video is marked Made for Kids on YouTube, which turns comments off. The stories are gentle; a few classic fables have a villain who gets his comeuppance, as in the original tales. We suggest watching together the first time.

Where do the stories come from?

From the Panchatantra, a collection of fables more than 2,000 years old, and from folk tales told across India, retold for today's children.
